10 Healthy and Delicious Christmas Desserts 2025
Christmas is meant to be a beautiful time of spending time with loved ones and feasting. You can enjoy lots of delicious foods without going into a sugar coma! Here are 10 healthy and delicious Christmas desserts for 2025.

Over the years, I have made plenty of Christmas desserts with many failed attempts along the way (like a gluten free gingerbread house that fell apart after hours of putting together!).
In our home, Christmas is special. We get to celebrate the birth of Christ and make it about being with family. It is also a time to feast on some delicious food.
We live in Australia, so we are all about light and refreshing. However, I know many readers will be from the Northern Hemisphere, so I will list a range of different desserts for both hot and cold seasons.
As I’ve become more aware of how certain foods make me feel over the years, I don’t pig out on Christmas food as I once did.
In saying that, you can have some delicious desserts that are nourishing too. This is what I aim for at Christmas.
We also have lots of allergies in our family, so some of these desserts will be dairy free, egg free and gluten free.
What I will cover in this post
- Simple ingredients are best
- Cater to your family’s size
- Think seasonally
- 10 healthy and delicious Christmas desserts
Simple Ingredients are Best
Christmas can already be overwhelming for many people. All the cooking often falls on the mother. And while many mothers, including myself, love to create delicious spreads, sometimes simple ingredients are best.
Over the years, I have learnt to simplify Christmas, especially with having more children. So, when it comes to preparing food, find recipes that use minimal ingredients.
This will often mean that you are optimising your time by following less steps and preparing the food in less time. This is what us mothers need. Not more steps to follow and more hours in the kitchen when they could be spent elsewhere.
Cater To Your Family’s Size
Another thing that will make your feasting simpler is catering to your family’s size.
If we are having a Christmas party with over 15 guests, I love making little individual desserts for everyone, so there is enough to go around.
If the dessert is just for a family of four-six, then you can make a large dish for everyone to share.
There are so many ways around it, but the point is, be intentional with what and how you serve the dessert, so there is enough to go around and even leftovers for later.
Think Seasonally
If you want to create a healthier dessert, then fruit is an important element to the dish in most cases.
Eating seasonally is important because the fruit is usually fresher and locally grown. Seasonal fruit is what your body craves and the nutrients your body needs (think oranges for Vitamin C in winter because your immunity is typically suppressed in the colder months).
So take advantage of the fruit in season and use them for your dessert or create a fresh fruit platter, which makes for a great dessert, too!
One thing to remember if you are not buying organic, is to stick to the clean 15 produce when selecting fruit, to limit pesticide consumption. Here is the clean 15 list.
